1.Meditation
Meditation is a habit that works like Xanax, but requires more patience. It's a habit that successful people do, because you tap into your body. My weakness was my brain fog, then I researched and researched and the most common practice to combat brain fog was meditation. Hesitantly, I started to watch how to do it.
Here’s how I meditate for a better presence and more mindfulness:
Sit or lie down somewhere comfortable and close your eyes. Now focus on your breathing. Deep breath in, deep breath out. Breathe only through your nose. You may feel discomfort, that's normal, just keep focusing on being present.
Meditation is a practice I now do daily and yield many benefits and advantages in life.
2.Reading
“Leaders are readers”. From my experience, 1 hour of “useful” content can be consumed by reading only 10 pages of certain books. Because social media wasn’t made for education, but retention, you may encounter many valueless content which only keeps you on these platforms. Books are made by more wise and smart people. To write a book which helps a reader, means to have experience with the subject and a skill to turn experience into words. Books are 100% the best source of knowledge. I promise, you’ll get smarter if you read between 1-10 pages daily. You become more articulate, quicker in your speech, that feeling of not remembering words when you need vanishes. It’s great. This habit really changed my life for the better.
3. Gratitude
Gratitude. When I express gratitude to the universe, to Jesus, to my family, friends, I feel more fulfilled. I feel better, the ones I express my gratitude feel great, it’s a very nice experience. I think we today with social media and our modern addictions, don’t even think about our blessings. We only think about it when we lose it. That’s our human nature. So express gratitude towards who genuinely helped you or you care for. I think that’s part of manifestation, to express our gratitude even for the things we don’t currently have.
4. Affirmations
Affirmations are a way to change your life and it’s a tool people don’t use to its full potential. If you repeat to yourself an affirmation, you practically brainwash yourself. To give yourself encouragement.
5. Voluntary exposure to suffering
In life, you’ll experience pain. Pain is there for your growth. Take a cold shower when you have access to warm water. Eat only one food. Expose yourself to suffering, because you’ll get mentally stronger.
